Murano corteccia glass tronchi chandelier in custom sizes [45685]
A lovely modern day interpretation of the modernist mid-century Tronchi chandelier, created originally by Tony Zuccheri for Venini in 1960.
“Tronchi” translates into English as “trunks”, but in this context, the tronchi are individual tubes of Murano glass, offset against each other, and suspended by rods from the frame of the chandelier. The glass itself has a “corteccia” or “bark” design, which conceals the lightbulbs from view but allows for excellent light diffusion.
