A beautiful hand-crafted Venetian glass floor light on a gold leaf base. The diffuser is entirely handmade with finest clear Murano glass crystal, using a special ‘baloton’ mould to create the lovely raised criss-cross pattern. This is a very typical Venetian glass-making technique which dates back as far as the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, and is still very popular today.
We are able to offer you three alternative finishes – amber baloton glass, smooth Murano crystal, and smooth amber Murano glass. Please contact us if you would like further information about these options.
This piece may bear some tiny imperfection that will attest to its having been fashioned entirely by hand, thus increasing its value and uniqueness. It is based on a historical design and has been crafted using purely traditional techniques.
