A delightfully pretty clear Murano crystal table lantern with a ‘baloton’ finish and twisted gold wire frame, made entirely by hand on the famous glass-making island of Murano in the Venetian lagoon.

The hot blown-glass is stamped with a special ‘baloton’ mould by the Muranese glass-master to create a raised criss-cross pattern. This is a very typical Murano glass-making design which dates back as far as the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, and is still very popular today.
